This article focuses on music and what can be done to make it more enjoyable.  Music is a much more complex signal than speech is, which is why it is more difficult for many CI recipients to comprehend and enjoy.  No one has been able to develop that magic pill or technology that instantly makes music sound perfect.  However, research has shown that many people have been able to improve sound quality and music comprehension through good old fashioned practice.  Below are some tips to keep in mind if you are trying to understand music once again, or for the first time.

This article discusses the last of the 4 SmartSound™ options: Autosensitivity (ASC).   

Remember all SmartSound options must be programmed to your processor by your audiologist.  If you are not sure if you have ASC or any of the other SmartSound options and would like to try them, please contact your audiologist.
